In this video, I read a portion of my tithing resignation letter and discussed issues with money, and its relationship to the church. Although these tithing videos were done long before I wrote the upcoming book, KLEPTOMANIAC: Who’s Really Robbing God, watching them will help you see my progression as I learned more and more about the subject. What you see in these videos is my learning progression. I studied scripture correctly and in the context of written verses. My study began with me having an open mind about tithing and pursued the study unencumbered by legalism and unprincipled beliefs. People use the tithe doctrine much like an old snake oil salesman who promises miracle cures with his elixir. Tithing is often used as a shortcut to wealth, prosperity, a long life or anything people can get out of God should I say out of the people. Those who pay the tenth, make the receiver more wealthy and they themselves may not benefit in the same way. But we all know wealth comes only through hard work and using your God-given talents. There is no shortcut to wealth in the Bible. That’s why Bible study is important and through all my videos, you will see first hand the process of learning taking place.
